Vaginal evisceration is a rare emergency surgical condition. Although common causes of vaginal evisceration differ during pre and post menopausal periods, trauma related evisceration may be seen in both periods. Self mutilation defi ned as the intentional, direct injuring of body tissues is one of the causes of trauma. In this case report, we present the emergency management of a vaginal evisceration case occured following self-mutilation.
