Distribution Characteristics of Symptoms According to Gender in People Applying to Sleep Disorder Clinic

Aim: This study aimed to determine the distribution characteristics of the symptoms of the patients who applied to a sleep disorder clinic according to gender.
Material and Method: The type of study was cross-sectional, and 1125 people who admitted to the sleep center between 2011 and 2015 formed the universe.
Results: In the study, body mass index, hypertension, snoring, apnea, hallucination, sleep paralysis, headache, and dry mouth were found to have statistically significant differences according to gender.
Conclusion: In this study, the symptoms of the patients who applied to our sleep disorders clinic for five years were evaluated, and a significant difference was found between genders in terms of some characteristics.

Uyku Bozukluğu Kliniğine Başvuran Kişilerin Şikayetlerinin Cinsiyete Göre Dağılım Özellikleri

Amaç: Bir uyku bozukluğu kliniğine başvuran kişilerin şikayetlerinin cinsiyete göre dağılım özelliklerinin belirlenmesi amaçlandı.
Materyal ve Metot: Çalışmanın tipi kesitsel olup 2011-2015 yılları arasında uyku merkezine başvuran 1125 kişi evreni oluşturdu.
Bulgular: Araştırmada parametrelerden vücut kitle indeksi, hipertansiyon, horlama, apne, varsanı, hareket edememe (uyku paralizisi), baş ağrısı ve ağız kuruluğu açısından cinsiyete göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulundu.
Sonuç: Çalışmamızda uyku bozuklukları kliniğimize 5 yıllık süre boyunca başvuran kişilerin şikayetleri değerlendirildi ve bazı özellikler açısından cinsiyete göre anlamlı fark saptandı.
